World Book Day

Our celebration of World Book Day was held yesterday - 12th March.

The focus for the day was rhyme. Staff and children were encouraged to come to school dressed as characters with a rhyming theme.  We had some very original costumes with rhymes to match.  The children were all gathered together in the school hall and each class were invited to stand at the front to show off their costumes and say their rhymes.  Staff voted for their favourites and the winners from each year group were awarded a certificate, a book and a chocolate egg.

We all had an amazing day.  Well done to all the parents for your help in getting the children dressed up for this special day and well done to the staff who also joined in the fun.
