10th July

On Tuesday 10th July we are holding our Sports Day. Parents are welcome to come along for the morning,  the picnic lunch, the afternoon or indeed all day.

During the races or activities children will be with their classes and should not go over to parents. It is important that we know where children are at all times.

Parents can bring a picnic to share with their child or a picnic lunch for your child can be ordered from school.  There will be no hot meals available from the kitchen on this day.

CAN WE PLEASE REMIND PARENTS WE HAVE A STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY (THIS INCLUDES VAP/E-CIGARETTES) AND NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS.

MORNING:       Class races start at 9.15am - 11.45am  (School gates will be open)

LUNCH:            12.00 - 1.00pm

AFTERNOON:  Carousel of sporting activities from 1.15 - 2.45pm

IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE:  After looking through several weather forecasting sites and with the current cooler start to the day we are currently going ahead with our plans for the afternoon activities. Thanks to the brilliant generosity of parents we have lots of gazebos arriving this morning to provide extra shade (any help putting them up would be greatly appreciated) and the forecasts suggest temperatures won't get higher until around 2pm, by which point we'll be close to finishing up. If this changes as we go through the day and we can see the children are getting hot and uncomfortable then we will obviously stop. Thank you so much for your support with this. As a working Mum myself, I know how frustrating it can be when school's plans change at the last minute but ultimately the health and safety of your children will always be paramount when making these decisions. I am risk assessing and meeting the team at Marwell this morning, ready for our trip next week, but hope everyone has a brilliant day.
